The APIC Microlearning Hub
The APIC Microlearning Hub is a new members-only resource. The site features a variety of microlessons for and by IPs on practical IPC topics across the continuum of care. Additionally, APIC’s Strategic Partners’ microlessons are featured in the APIC Microlearning Hub.
This is an exclusive APIC member benefit. Log into your APIC.org account to access the hub and scroll down once logged in to see all available microlessons.

What steps should I take to develop a microlesson?
- Identify your topic: such as a practical area of need or concrete best practice or process to share
- Develop 1-3 learning objectives
- Decide what format you want to use (video, recorded presentation, etc.)
- Storyboard your microlesson; prioritize your content to ensure it is engaging and meaningful
- Use engaging scenarios, quotes, and examples: make it interesting!
- Have a colleague who has the CIC credential review your microlesson idea and content
- Write, then carefully edit your script so you are sure on your exact content wording and flow
- Practice your script and time yourself so you keep the lesson succinct (5 to 15-minute range)
- Record your video or presentation and then have a colleague review it again prior to submission
