APIC is moving from Joint Accreditation to ANCC NCPD in 2026.
APIC’s CE Mission Statement
The mission and purpose of APIC’s CE program is to advance the knowledge, competence and performance of the healthcare team in order to improve health outcomes.
Target Audience
APIC’s CE program seeks to support interdisciplinary practice by providing educational opportunities for healthcare professionals around the world. Our target audience includes but is not limited to nurses, physicians, public health specialists, epidemiologists, pharmacists, microbiologists, medical technologists, and respiratory therapists. We also value our student members and provide them with the educational opportunities needed to enhance and augment their learning and educational experience.
Criteria for Successful Completion. Expected Results
The expected results of APIC’s CE program is to improve the competence and performance of our learners, our healthcare teams, and the clinical outcomes of the patients whom they serve.
All CE activities are formally evaluated post-event by learners and planners to determine the extent to which the expected results have been achieved as well as to identify ways to improve the learning experience.
Attendance
Full attendance is a prerequisite for receiving full continuing education credits. Learners should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Course Evaluation
Course evaluations will be available via an online link provided in course materials. All evaluations must be completed within 30 days. After satisfying all evaluation requirements, a certificate of completion will be available for your records indicating CEs
Certification/Training Evaluation (CIC, LTC-IP, LTC Essentials, EPI Intensive, ASC)
Course evaluations will be available in your online education account at the conclusion of the event. All evaluations must be completed within 90 days of the conclusion of the event in order to earn all available CE credits. After satisfying all evaluation requirements, a certificate of completion will be available for your records indicating earned CEs.
How to Access Certificates of Completion
Visit your APIC Education Dashboard to download your certificates of completion for all completed webinars, online courses, and virtual live workshops. Please follow the steps below
Login to your APIC Education Dashboard using your APIC account login details (email address and password associated with your APIC account).
Click on My Dashboard then Transcript/Achievements.
Bookmark this direct link to visit your Transcript page.
On your Transcript page, you will see all completed educational items with the option to view/print individual certificates or a full transcript.
Conflict of Interest
APIC maintains control over all continuing education content provided to ensure it is designed to be independent, free from commercial bias, and based on valid and relevant content. All education planners, faculty, content reviewers, authors, and others involved with continuing education activities disclose any relevant financial relationships with ineligible companies. APIC ensures the accuracy and consistency of accreditation criteria to ensure identification and mitigation of relevant financial relationships to create a protected space to learn.
