HHS Secretary Removes ACIP Members

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. removed all 17 current members of the CDC Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP). He intends to replace them with new members in time for the scheduled June 25 -27 ACIP meeting in Atlanta. Democratic members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee responded by introducing the Family Vaccine Protection Act, intended to protect access to affordable vaccines.
