NIOSH Voluntary Respirator Approval Rescissions

NIOSH has honored a request by several respirator manufacturers to voluntarily rescind NIOSH respirator approvals for different types of respirators.

Venus Safety & Health Pvt., Ltd. has requested rescission for filtering facepiece respirators (FFRs) with NIOSH approval numbers 84A-5634 and 84A-9365.

SAS Safety Corporation has requested rescissions for half mask or full facepiece air purifying respirators with NIOSH approval numbers 84A-7858, 84A-8079, 84A-8113, and 84A-8149.

Allegro Industries has requested rescission of hood supplied air respirator with NIOSH approval number 19C-0433.

These respirators are no longer NIOSH approved and may not be used, manufactured, assembled, sold, or distributed.
